The hilltop village of Pyrgos that overlooks virtually all of Santorini has for years been one of my favourite places on the island. It&#8217;s nearly silent whitewashed warrens are the opposite of the overcrowded pathways of Oia and Fira town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pyrgos is like a living throwback to a simpler time on the island.
