My City, My City: A 9/11 Memoir

New York- Last Monday was the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks here in NYC. I went through the whole day without a single human interaction that mentioned the significance of the date. I decided to do a small pilgrimage to the site once referred to a Ground Zero where the mighty steel behemoths commonly called the Twin Towers once stood.

This video is not so much about the day of 9/11 but the years and then decades after it the affected this city, our society, and our world so deeply. This is by no means some sort of comprehensive history of 9/11 or the terror wars that followed. It’s not even comprehensive of my own experience because much of my photo archive is sitting in a storage locker. These are simply some unscripted thoughts with photos that still linger on my laptop.
