Beirut- Just dropped the early part of my Cypriot adventure on my Fabled City channel I’m trying to get going. So episode 4 is done and episode 6 is in the can ready to go but I still have to start editing episode 5.
This video is really simply and still was a gigantic effort. Right when I tried to start editing it my MacBook hard drive was filled to the brim and I got into a whole thing about partitioning my external Lacie Rugged drive so that Time Machine could fit on one half (the entire thing had been exclusively formatted for Time Machine with no way to put other stuff on it) and I could migrate 15 years worth of .mov files on the other empty half via dragging and dropping.
I had to go all those files off my laptop completely to be able to work on this episode (and the next two from Cyprus) and now just doing these my HD is already filling back up with the GoPro files. I may finally have to succumb to using the cloud which would involve learning exactly how that works plus paying for it. Because I’ll also probably be filling up the Lacie in this process. Creating these movie files somehow begets more files. Lots more.
This episode is definitely an improvement on the last one but still rough around the edges. I had to try and cut out lots of verbal crutches and redundancies.
